I Voted Today…
I voted today… and because I voted I want to get a few things off my chest:
• My ancestors did not die for my right to vote. My ancestors were enslaved, raped, murdered, burned alive, dismembered, cannibalized, and numerous other atrocities known to man. They fought and were killed standing on the very basic premise that they were human and should be, WILL be treated as human by other humans. As a result of THAT fight we were “given” the right to vote. So miss me with the vote shaming and emotional blackmail of what my ancestors died for… I talk to them EVERY day.
• We do not live in a true democracy therefore democracy will not “die” with the SELECTION of one candidate over another. The illusion you choose to subscribe to (despite wording and evidence that proves otherwise) is in reality a republic which most children and adults blindly acknowledge in the recitation of the Pledge of Allegance. “…and to the REPUBLIC for which it stands…”
• Both candidates represent the festering, oozing, slimy, stinking sickness of America made up, dressed up, suited, and filtered for us to consume with tv dinners and glazed over eyelids while we stare at television screens. Whomever is revealed as chosen won’t change that in a day, a year, or 4. Whether you eat the hogs ass, foot, breast, or nose, you’re still eating from a vile animal and that is what has been placed in front of us.
I voted because there are those who believe people who don’t vote shouldn’t, or can’t have an opinion. Well here’s mine.
Brothers and sisters be safe out there. Don’t let the illusion of division prevail. People are who they are whether in your face or behind the scenes. Protect your mental health and be especially watchful of your surroundings.
